Accessibility

Accessibility overview

Keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and how to report accessibility issues.

Last updated 2026-07-18

NextDeveloper is built to be usable by as many people as possible, including keyboard users and screen-reader users.

Keyboard navigation

  • Tab moves focus between interactive elements.
  • Enter or Space activates buttons and links.
  • Escape closes dialogs and mobile menus.
  • The editor supports common Monaco shortcuts such as Ctrl/Cmd + / for line comments.

Screen reader support

Pages use semantic landmarks (header, main, nav, footer) and descriptive labels. The command search dialog announces results, and the user menu is labeled.

Theme and contrast

You can switch between dark and light modes in Account settings. Both modes use color combinations designed to meet WCAG contrast guidelines.

Reporting issues

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email a11y@nextdeveloper.com or post in the Community Forum.
